There really is an explanation for my super long disappearance. But first,

I TOOK OFF MY BRACES!!! *dances around in circles* YESSS I DIIIIIIIID!!! *hands cookies and throws confetti at everyone*

It was one of my most happiest days. I had braces on for exactly 2 years. I had them fixed on the 7th of July in 2007 (which was 07/07/07!) and took them off on 07/07/09.. no, it wasnt planned =P thats the beauty of it. The doctor originally told me it was gonna be on for a year and a half but he would always keep postponning to a few more months. On the appointment before my last he had told me that if everything went well then I should be removing them by the next appointment which was the coming month. By my next appointment I came into the clinic with very very high hopes. At first he examined my teeth without a word, then finally said “should we remove them today?” OMG! I said OF COURSE WE SHOULD! and I have been smiling ever since LOL!

Its funny cuz I am so used to keeping my mouth shut in photographs that everytime I take a picture now I forget to smile and let my new teeth show xD

Well, back to the explanation. We moved to a new house and things have been extremely hectic. Moving is very stressful for people like me who hate having their stuff chunked in boxes and shoved in moving vans *ahem* OCD *cough* I refused to have my most prized posessions get packed and driven by strangers so I put them all in the back seat of my car and I drove them to the new house by myself. Those would be my handbags and makeup case of course ^.^ lol!!

Everything was on such short notice that there was ZERO time for decorating or anything even close to that. There are boxes and handbags EVERYWHERE around the house. We’ve been here for a little over a week and Im still not used to the area. It would take time for me to adjust to living 45 minutes away from the city *sob* I dont even want to know how early I would be waking up for work when my leave is over.

That is pretty much how I spent my vacation =/ packing, moving, settling in..

And it doesnt really seem like I’m done with moving yet. Just this morning I received a txt from my colleague that my entire office was moved to another floor. *sigh* its all part of the re-organization that the company is going through but DAMN couldnt they wait until Im back?? I was so furious in the morning. FUMING even. I dont even know where my new office location is. It really better be a good place cuz if it wasnt then Im not having it :@

Besides the madness of the move, I havent been able to come online much because we have no internet connection yet. We are calling the etisalat service centers a million times every single day so they’d install the telephones and an internet line but they are complete sh*theads!! When we first moved they actually wanted us to get our neighbours’ phone number so they’d be able to locate us. Ok.. seriously, wtf! First, we’re new in the neighbourhood and we dont know anyone yet. Second, they are the service providers and they should be able to locate us based on our block or freakin street number. AAHHH!!!

Anyways, today was the last day of my fasting last Ramadan’s off-days ;P and to celebrate I am DXB-ing tomorrow! aawwwllllll day + with my cousins <3 and I am determined to forget all about MOVING while burning my shiny new gold plastics haha!
