Its so bumming to be back from vacation in a time when everyone is leaving! I just got back from my 10-day vacation in Thailand (which is why I have been MIA for a while) and non of my family or friends are here! Everyone is somewhere around the globe.. come back, people! enjoy the 42C summer in AD lol

So remember in my last post where I said I might not be going to LA anymore? My doubt was right, we cancelled and booked tickets to Bangkok instead. Shocking? I know. The thing is, my father’s US visa is still pending approval. Like, to this frikkin day!! Its not rejected, its just “stuck in Washington” – whatever that means. Its weird cuz all the rest of us got ours. So we decided to head somewhere near for a couple of days. The options were: Austria and Thailand. I cant see how comparable the options were but we chose Thailand cuz it was closest.. I honestly cant remember the last time I was on a 6-hour flight! All our other trips were 10+ hours long.

I have to admit though, I had lots of fun. I didnt expect it to be fun because of all the horror stories I heard about how dirty and polluted the place is, but let me tell you this: as long as you’re in any of those 7-storey shopping malls you’re fine! =P at least if you are a shopping fiend like yours truly.

We didnt have enought time to go visit the more ‘natural’ areas like Phuket and Chiang Mai but thats alright, I’ve always been a city girl ;) I love being surrounded by buildings and busy streets, I’d chose that over looking at trees anyday lol

My annual leave is waaay until the 14th of August. Im seriously thinking of cutting it and going back to work. Its too long and I could use more days specially in Ramadan. Hmmm.
