Ok that IS IT! I am done with this stupid laptop *smashes it with a hammer!!* I mean I tryyy and I tryyy some more to fix it but it keeps screwing up on me & now I’ve had it. The battery dies almost as soon as I remove it from the charger, the RAM is acting funny, my explorer decides to shut down whenever it wants and there are just a TON of viruses popping outta no where!!! >_< formatting breaks my heart but I had to do it to save what ever was left of this piece of crap but that didnt help either so now I loose all of my software programs for no good reason! I am SOOO getting a new one first thing tomorrow. Im getting something with an integrated webcam, bluetooth technology and wireless support too - oh hell yeah! :D so... any recs? besides MacBooks cuz I am incompatible with apple computers =x

On to the good news, I officially started work last week! *ahem* say hello to your new Policies & Retention Analyst ;) tadaa! I love showing off my position title lol.. Im very grateful to be working somewhere away from IT {I know its weird, It student doesnt wanna work in IT?} but I’ve always wished I’d be working somewhere HR-related and now I do & its so much fun! Basically after my training, I get to be in charge of calculating bonuses and coming up with new ideas to motivate and retain staff. IM SUPER EXCITED! & it makes it so much more exciting that I have a couple of people I know from college in the same division with me.

The first 3 days of the week was mainly an orientation with the department team leaders and managers. We were given a brief idea of the company and how our department contributes in it. Then the next two days were when the work started! I sat down with my team leader and we decided on the main assignments that I’d be doing for the next month. By next week we will be putting down the main plan for the entire year. Im gonna be working really hard the next coupla days! I have many things to attend including conferences and workshops. There’ll also be a trip to an oil field after 2 weeks ^.^ yes, I work in an oil company obviously =P

I dont have my own office yet because the company is undergoing some MAJOR re-structuring but by mid-november I’d hopefully have my own space. Right now, Im staying at an office of a lady who’s on maternity leave hehe.. this is what it looks like:

The days of sleeping till noon are over.. I have to wake up extra early cuz Im very slow when getting ready to go out. My dad wont even let me drive yet! He says he is not yet sure I could drive to work and back lol ah well Im not complaining.. driving wasnt really my thing to begin with.
