I missed the alarm today morning and woke up very late and not feeling well either. So I decided to ditch work and sleep in. I think the reason might be the new herbs I’m taking for gaining weight. I’ve been taking them for about 2 weeks now and every day I wake up feeling bloated.
I read about them on an arabic online forum. The girl who originally tried them was raaaving about them and how they helped her gain like 4 Kgs in a week! I normally never trust any of these things but having ordered them gives you an idea of how desperate I am to gain a few pounds. Anyways, I waited until some other girls on the forum tried it and they were all posting their success stories on the board. So I contacted the lady who makes them, shes from KSA, and ordered 2 cans. Its in powder form, and all I have to do is mix a spoon of the herbs with a glass of juice or milk once a day. When I received it my father insisted that I get it tested first. My mom thought it might have drugs in it LOL! So I agreed and we waited for a WEEK until we got the test results from the lab. They didnt give us a list of the ingredients but they said it was all natural and had nothing to worry about. So I’ve been taking them before bed, which probably explains why I feel so bloated and full in the morning =/
Anyways, I cant wait to go spend the weekend in Dubai with my cousins. I need to do some serious shopping because I’ve been holding myself out through this sales craze thats going on in AD. Everyone here is acting insane! I never got a single thing from the sales because all whats left is absolute crap x( I know for sure that Dubai has wider selections and less wild shoppers *no offense* lol!!
Speaking of shopping, the MAC Style Warriors collection just arrived yesterday. Needless to say, half the collection was sold out in 2 hours cuz by 12 PM the collection display was almost bare. It makes me wonder dont these girls have some other place to be? like WORK?? o_O But this time I was better prepared. I had called one of the MA’s a week earlier and reserved everything that I wanted from the collection before it had arrived *evil laugh* =P cuz I discovered thats how things are gonna work with MAC from now on. Its their dirty little secret.

I think I’ve finally started getting myself back into reading. I have more time for it now that work is very slow at this time of the year and Im done with my studies. Since the beginning of this month I’ve finished two books! One was Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho.. which I didnt like. At first it was so interesting but by the end it got very preachy and confusing. I didnt really understand what the writer was saying most of the time. I just wanted to finish it and start with something new. Once I was done, I immediately started with the second book: Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer. I absolutely LOVED it! I am mesmerized by it. As soon as I started reading it I just couldnt put it down. Its so easy to read and you get so attached to the characters of the book and the real events that are referenced although it is a fictional story. I was so sad when I finished it. I cant recommend it enough! Its definitely my favorite book of all time.
.. And I would have never known about it if it wasnt for Miracle Girl :D I read about it several times on her blog and I thought it must be good if Miracle loves it so much. I was right! So far I’ve read two books that I’ve seen on her blog: Sister of My Heart (which I also loved very much) and now Kane and Abel. I now told her that I trust in her choice of books blindly and I will read anything she recommends <3

I gotta run for lunch. Etisalat needs to do something about the annoying BB malfunctions!!! GRRR!
At laaaaaaaaaast! I am done with my finals. Thats one semester down, three more to go! :D The past couple of days have been so hard. You’d think that an open book exam would be easy, so wrong! I applied for an examination leave for 4 days so I could stay at home to study and prepare my notes. Thankfully everything went well and Im glad the nightmare is over. I totally cancelled my plans on taking a summer course. Theres no rush at all.
Its party time NOW! :D :D my cousins, sister and I are planning a night out to the movies to celebrate. I realized that I did not go out ever since I came back from my course in Dubai, which was like 2 weeks ago!
Speaking of the course, it was good. It would have been better if the course facilitator stopped bugging me the whole time to participate more. Every now and then he’d pop up a question and ask me what I think of it. Im not the kind of person who talks just to say something. I would only talk if I have something meaningful to add to the conversation. And so when Im staying quietly at the back of the course hall, its obvious that I dont wanna talk! After each session he’d tell me you’re the quietest person I’ve met. Whatever. I wished I could tell him to leave me alone!! It really felt like a classroom.
I spent most of my time there just laying in bed and staaaring at E! Entertainment for houuurs after houuuurs LOL I came to the conclusion that I could seariously watch that channel for the rest of my life and never get bored xD Its so addictive!
But the real highlight of my stay at Dubai is that I fiiiiiinally got to meet my girl ShOooSH! For the first time ever ever!! Aww’h it was the best day! She was unbelievably sweet and oh-so-adorable ^_^ she picked me up and we went on a shopping spree at Dubai Mall. OMG It was SO FUN!! We tried some outfits at Forever 21 and ended up getting matching tops haha I had the most amazing time  it didnt feel like it was the first time we meet at all <3 So now Im nagging her to come to AD.. noody loves you shoosh! mwah!

BB Covers to join in the BB Craze!

my sister got me this fluorescent greenish yellow from ZU

& my friend at work got me the purdy pink one!

showing off my manicure lol ;D
Look who jumped on the BB bandwagon! I’ve wanted one for a while now and I finally got it, presenting my Blackberry Curve 8900:

YAYYY!! *jumps around in circles* :D It took me a long time at the store to make a decision between this and the Bold. In the end I chose the Curve because I liked its size more and I think it looks much sleeker. I got used to it pretty fast too! Its not as complicated as I thought it would be at all. Theres still alot that I need to figure out though.. Now all I need is a new PHONE! Im using my BB as a PDA but I still want my regular nokia for calls and stuff. It is working just fine but I’ve had it for years and Im starting to get sick of it. Any recommendations?
Today at work, while I was going through tons of folders and folders on my computer, I came across my CV. I immediately realized that it needed and update even though I wont be leaving the company any time soon. When I opened it, it finally struck me that I have been working for a YEAR and 5 months already! My anniversary with the company was last November. There are a lot of things that I learned about my working style during that time, here are a few things that seriously tick me off:
1. Pointless Meetings UGH! we are notorious for having the longest, most boring and pointless meetings EVER! A meeting is supposed to be straightforward, to the point, and SHORT because people have other things to do for the rest of the frikkin day. Some things can just be said over the phone or in an email, you dont have to call for a meeting for every single damn thing.
2. Spur-of-the-moment Projects they are those little projects that your supervisor comes up with and thinks they’re the best ideas in the world since sliced bread.. for like 10 seconds. And then you work and work and work on them only to see everything “fall to the grass” as they say. There is no follow-up and in a while it is completely forgotten. Such a waste of time!
3. “Be Creative” no, thank you. I will not have anyone throw their work at me and make it all look good by telling me to be creative. Also, I will not be creative only to have someone else ask me to edit and re-edit a million times until it looks just like how they would have done it. This is the most important thing I’ve learned about myself. I only like to work on something when there are clear guidelines and when I am told exactly what is expected. Only then will I be creative.
4. Presentations I still hate presentations. Always have always will! I am honestly willing to do any kind of work just NOT presentations.
5. Girls are b*tches. THERE! I said it. Actually I learned that way before work.. I learned that way back at university.. LoL! Girls are jealous, envious, and pure evil.
I think I shared a little more than necessary lol.. Anywaaays moving to a different subject. I did have a chance to pass by Reem’s Closet when I went to Dubai for my last dentist appointment. The store is so much more tinier than it appeared on TV but it did carry a lot of nice stuff! I saw so many things that were in great condition. There was a Fendi Spy, Dior Girly Boston, Chloe Bracelet Bag, etc… I didnt get anything but I put my name down for an interview with the manager incase I decide to consign anything later =]
My friend and I went to see He’s Just Not That Into You at the movies a while ago and I lovvved it. I love Jennifer Aniston’s style.. she always looks so casual and comfy. Im so into the whole t-shirt + open cardigan look with skinny jeans. I think I got about a million cardis recently xD these are gonna look FAB for the summer!

my favorite handcreams! the vanilla is so delicious and in the pot it looks exactly like whipped cream mmmm =9 I have one in my room, in the office and one tiny tube in my handbag <3

the current moisturizer Im using.. Im a gel cream convert! I am always gonna choose gel creams from now on. They are much lighter and they get absorbed into the skin very fast without feeling sticky.
