Someone needs to take my credit cards away from meee! I think I’m buying more stuff online than I do from actual stores. Maybe I should freeze them in a chunk of ice like that girl from Confessions of a Shopaholic?? >_< Seriously the people over at the mailroom must think I'm crazy cuz there has to be a package for me every single week.. and its really not helping that most websites are starting to offer worldwide shipping~!
Speaking of that, I signed up for Aramex's Shop & Ship program and got two mailboxes in the US and UK. It all seemed too easy until I read that huge list of prohibited items they sent me :s the list just goes on and onnnnnn - and then I read "No Flammable Items (Perfume, Makeup, etc…)” thats when I got pissed. Apparently this is some sort of new ‘rule’ because I did order makeup before using my uncle’s Aramex account and it arrived with no problems, but that was a while back. Ugh! :@
So for now I’ll stick to my favorites: Net-a-Porter & eBay <3 I managed to get my hands on two exclusive MAC palletes that were only sold in duty free zones and airports..

Its called the MAC Trip 4 Collection

They are eye and cheek sets: 1 blush + 3 eyeshadows

Bronze Eye & Cheek

Neutral Eye & Cheek

I got the neutral pallette just for Sunday Best eyeshadow.. its extremely hard to find!
Anyways, I went to the movies yesterday to watch 2012. My head was going to explode from all the tension in the movie! My jaw dropped and eyes popped through most of the scenes LOL every 10 minutes my mom would turn and ask me “sho feech??!” xD It was scary but its really worth seeing. At first I was hesitant cuz its duration is 3 hours and I hate long movies but I lost track of time.
My Eid holiday will officially start TOMORROW! *dances around in circles* I just needed to take a few days off before Eid cuz I have lots of preparations to do. My to-do list for tomorrow includes picking up my abayas and getting a manicure ^-^ so until then.. later!
Today I come bearing wonderful news for all sweet-tooths in AD: we can finally join in the cupcake craze!
Toota and I were BBM’ing the other day about all the cupcake stores that have turned up.. Sugar Daddy’s, Sweet Stuff, etc.. we’re spoiled for options, but they’re all in Dubai and most of them do not deliver to AD. So she told me about this new cupcake place that she had heard of called Jino’s Kitchen, and copied me their webbie. I immediately fell in love with the yummy pictures, and when I saw that they are Abu Dhabi based.. I just had to place an order!

Arent they mouthwatering?! My sisters and I went crazy over them. How nicely they were packaged and how purrrdy they looked – specially the adorable sparkley sprinkles! I ordered a dozen cupcakes in: Red Velvets (Duh!! lol), Rainbow, Cookies n Cream and Vanilla. They were simply scrumptious! But the real showstoppers were the TRUFFLES! *faints* you see I have never tried truffles before and I keep hearing about how delicious they are so I decided to add in a few pieces into my order just to try them out, in Red Velvets (again haha!), Digestive and Chocolate.
When the order arrived I was actually running late for class but I couldnt resist the cuteness of them so I took one red velvet truffle and popped it in my mouth while I drove to uni. OMG.. my first truffle experience was heavenly to say the least!! Plus they’re called Love Bombs.. how adorable is that?? How I wiiiiish I had ordered more =9
I just had to share this with you all.. Jino’s Kitchen gets a thumbs up from me! Jino was extremely sweet and friendly <3 She seems to me as a very passionate and dedicated person, and I would love for everyone to support her. I will definitely be ordering from her again.. and again and again LoL! So thanks JINO! and TOOT of course ;D
PS. WordPress has kept some comments in “pending” mode for me to approve.. weird cuz it hasnt happened before.. but just so you’d know that your comments havent disappeared ^_^
Today was such an exhausting day. Actually, this whole week has been driving me crazy. I feel like I had zero sleep! I started the first week of my second semester at university. And I HATED my professor! I enrolled in two courses and it turns out that he teaches both of them. Just my luck! ugh. My friends and I had so many issues with adding, dropping, changing sections – will give you a headache if I explained in detail! So we decided to take a break from work and head to ADU at 12:00.. thinking that it will probably not take us more than an hour to get everything done. WRONG! We got out of there at 3:00! By the time we left we were tired, sleepy and hungry. So we passed by Shangri-La to have a quick lunch at a Lebanese restaurant.
Funny thing is, my house is just 15 minutes from Shangri-La but since we all came in one car we had to drive all the way back to work so that each one of us could drive her own car back home. I arrived home at 5:10 x_X
Thankfully, 3laa kil hal t3aab we were able to get all our issues solved *phew* Anyways, looking back at my Dubai checklist, heres what I was able to strike off:
a) Have a macaroon. I didnt! LoL! I just didnt know where to find them. I spent an entire day at the Dubai Mall and I had no idea that I could get some from Shakespeare’s >.<"
b) Order cupcakes. Didnt do this either. I called EVERY cupcakes store I know but they just wouldnt pick up their phones. I’m guessing its because I called on a Friday and they’re all probably closed. Tough luck!
c) Try on Loubies.. (and possibly get some?) Now THAT I did ;) I never realized how much I loved shoes untill I entered the shoe department at Saks <3 <3 :siiiiiigh: its love.. I tried dozens of pairs.. and ended up with this beauty:

d) Check out Jo Malone perfumes That I did too.. errr.. not impressed! I was excited to check out the new Vanilla & Anise fragrance but it was completely the opposite of what I had imagined. I thought it would be that sweet and warm vanilla scent that I adore but the anise notes were TOO strong. My boss once had tea with anise during a meeting and I just wanted to throw up LOL definitely not for me! (anise = za3tar, btw) Instead, I stocked up on my all-time favorite Pink Sugar by Aquolina .. mmmm =9

e) … To metro or not to metro? Nope, too paranoid to be in crowded areas at this time! =s
I still have many pictures to post, but I’ll keep those for less-creative days ;P see you all around!
3eedkom mbaarak everyone~! How did you all spend your eid holidays? Mine was fair enough. I prepared enormously for this particular eid because I wanted a whole new look to go with my new brace-less smile. From haircuts, coloring, highlighting, colored lenses and henna to pretty flowy dresses, sparkley jewels, new loubies and even a Chanel bag LOL 9dg knt shadaah 7aile halsinnah. Unfortunately with all these preparations I had horrible cramps right on the first day! They were so bad that I was not able to go to most of the family gatherings. So much for my new look!! x(

makeup frenzy on the first day of eid!
Thankfully, my preparations also included my leave *evil grin* I took a long break starting from the last week of Ramadan way until next Sunday. So I am off for today and tomorrow! Its ridiculous that we didnt get to have both of these days off as an official national holiday.. meh! I’m going to spend my weekend in Dubai starting tomorrow, and this time I’m determined to:
a) Have a macaroon. I feel like I’m the only person on earth who hadn’t ever tasted a macaroon. Ok, not exactly ever. I tried one when I went to Dubai on course once. It was a pink macaroon that came in a small complementary box along with dates and chocolates.. and it was STALE!!! It was so hard I was afraid my braces would break. I thought there must be something wrong! This definitely isnt what the whole world is crazy about! So I’m willing to give macaroons another chance.
b) Order cupcakes. Yummm! I am most excited about having cupcakes delivered to the hotel <3 since I already tried Sprinklez, I might try Sweet Stuff this time =9~ I promise this list isnt all about food lol
c) Try on Loubies.. (and possibly get some?) haha the thing is, my loubies are too big for me even though I only got half a size up. My feet would slip out even with TWO inserts. Sad. So now I want to try a couple of different pairs so I can determine my size because italian sizing is very inconsistent.
d) Check out Jo Malone perfumes. I just adore vanilla-scented anything! and I’ve been told that Jo Malone carries perfumes with vanilla notes.. *hearts* must try!
e) … To metro or not to metro? Hmmm.. my sister is dying go on a ride. Still not sure on this one because my parents are afraid of catching the flu in crowded areas :S

always wanted to try this!

I’m a sucker for cute packaging ^_~
A personality game I found online says that, if your first name starts with an H..

1. You are not judgmental. True.. Im hardly critical or disapproving. I tend not to find faults in what I see and try to look at the better side of things instead, whether it was a person or a situation.

2. You are always smiling & making others smile. LOL! maybe not xP I dont consider myself to be a humorous person really. Although yes, I do love to smile :)

3. You like to work. I do! I like to keep myself busy. But at the same time I hate having a routine job. I get bored extremely fast and so I lose interest in what Im doing. So I always like to look for new things to do!

4. You have trouble trusting people. I would say this is partly true. I dont have trouble trusting people.. strangers in fact, and I know thats not exactly the right thing to do for most. Its like that movie I saw on TV once. A teacher who told her students at the very beginning of the year that everyone in class currently has an A, and it is up to each one of them to keep up that A throughout the year and not bring it down to B’s and C’s. When I meet someone, they can have my trust, and its up to them to NOT break it. I discovered that Im the kind of person who would give my full trust to someone.. but once it is broken it can never be given back again. I do forgive.. wholeheartedly.. but I cant forget. Dont get me wrong, Im never one to hold any grudges. But once a person does something to break my trust then its gonna be there forever and it would make me put limits on my relationship with them.
